Since the beginning of 2026, 73 residents of the Jewish Autonomous Region have been affected by fraud. The total damage exceeded 21 million rubles.

A criminal case has been opened on each fact. The Prosecutor's Office is working to protect the rights of citizens affected by the actions of fraudsters. In addition, according to a lawsuit filed by the prosecutor's office, a website offering wholesale purchase of SIM cards without presenting a passport and services for hacking social networks was blocked.

In Ussuriysk, a 52-year-old woman gave almost 3 million rubles to fraudsters. The victim trusted the scammers, who presented themselves as law enforcement officers.
