Almost 300 people suffered from tick bites in Krasnodar region

Since the beginning of the season in the Krasnodar Territory, 272 people have contacted doctors in connection with tick bites. Almost 40% of the victims are children.

According to KrasnodarMedia news agency, the number of requests decreased by 1.7 times compared to the same period in 2025. Almost 1.5 thousand ticks were received for research in the laboratory, 250 parasites were directly removed from humans. In 12.8% of cases, positive test results for tick-borne borreliosis were detected.

Residents of the region and tourists are reminded that when visiting natural areas, parks, and suburban areas, precautions should be taken, including the use of acaricidal agents.

According to data from the beginning of last week, ticks have become more active in most of Russia. Compared to March, pest activity increased by 61%.
