Earlier that day, a Pegasus Airlines flight en route from St. Petersburg to Istanbul was forced to land in Romania. The aircraft sent a distress signal two hours after the start of the flight. At that moment, it had already passed the Faguaras mountain range and was located near the town of Rymnicu-Vylca in the central part of Romania.
According to the source, the passenger is a Russian citizen. He became ill during the flight.
