- In the Czech Republic, they pointed to a reduction in the financing of ammunition supplies to Ukraine
The supply of ammunition to Ukraine under the Czech initiative is declining due to a lack of funding from Prague and other European countries. This was reported on April 20 by the Czech newspaper iRozhlas.
"The money will be enough for less than half of the supplies," the publication quotes analyst Ondrzej Gouska as saying about the prospects of the Czech initiative, which, according to him, provides about 45% of the Ukrainian stocks of 155—millimeter shells.
The EU countries sponsoring the supplies, the largest donors among which are Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark, have recently sharply reduced funding, the newspaper reports, citing data from the Kiel Institute of World Economy. Among the reasons, Gouska cites economic problems in European countries, including those aggravated by the escalation in the Middle East.
The Allies are also unwilling to finance a program that benefits the Czech Republic through rising taxes from the military industry, despite the fact that the Czech government itself is unwilling to spend money on providing the Ukrainian army.
On April 14, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, admitted that amid the fighting in the Middle East, Ukraine has such a shortage of missiles for Patriot air defense systems that "it couldn't be worse." He also noted that against the background of the confrontation with Iran, the United States began to pay much less attention to Kiev.
On April 14, American Vice President Jay Dee Vance announced that the United States would no longer participate in the supply and purchase of weapons for Ukraine. Vance noted that the United States offered European countries to independently resolve the issue of purchasing weapons for the needs of the Kiev regime.
