Almost 60 fires occurred in Primorsky Krai over the weekend

Over the past weekend, 58 wildfires were registered in Primorsky Krai. The total gorenje area exceeded 1.3 thousand hectares.

On Saturday, there were 21 fires with an area of 253 hectares. Six fires were extinguished on the lands of the forest fund, IA PrimaMedia clarifies. On April 19, 37 fires broke out, 14 of them on the lands of the forest fund.

One fire continues to operate, and the Primorskaya Airbase is engaged in extinguishing it. MINGOC units were involved 220 times in extinguishing the grass fires.

Last week, the number of wildfires in Primorye increased with the onset of windy weather. The main causes of fires are careless handling of fire and deliberate arson.
