Mercedes-Benz unveiled the first electric C-Class
Mercedes-Benz will begin selling the first C-Class electric sedan in early 2027, with the United States becoming the first market for the model. As the brand's press service reported on April 20, the electric sedan is the most sporty C-Class in the model's history.
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class debuts with a twin-engine powerplant with a capacity of 489 hp (800 Nm), which allows you to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in 4 seconds. The 94 kWh battery is designed for 762 km of travel (according to the WLTP cycle). In 10 minutes on a charge, the battery can gain energy for 325 km of mileage. Later, more affordable and less powerful versions will appear in the range.

The German manufacturer also calls the new C-Class the most spacious in the model's history. The length of the car is 4883 mm with a wheelbase of 2962 mm — the latter figure is 97 mm more than the current C-Class with an internal combustion engine.
Both externally and internally, the electric C-Class borrows elements from the GLC electric crossover shown last fall. Among the exterior details are, for example, a large radiator grille with a backlight of 1,050 luminous dots, head optics and lanterns with built-in three-ray stars. The cabin has a large seamless Hyperscreen display with a diagonal of more than 39 inches, which will be offered in top—end trim levels (in more affordable versions there are simple three screens).

Other features of the sedan include a panoramic roof with 162 built—in stars, a fully controlled chassis that facilitates maneuvers and increases stability at speed (the rear wheels rotate at an angle of up to 4.5°), as well as an air suspension that works in conjunction with the navigation system and cloud data in real time, changing settings in the mode real-time.
On April 14, during the presentation of the Vision Event, Nissan announced new models and shared its plans for the future. In particular, the Japanese automaker showed the new generation Juke crossover and announced the Skyline sports sedan.
