A database of 400 thousand customers of the Dutch store has appeared on the Darknet.
On the darknet, an unknown user put up for sale a database supposedly containing information about 400,000 Belgian customers of a Dutch online store. Bol.com . This was announced on April 19 on the Dutch technology website Tweakers.
The seller, acting under the pseudonym Jeffrey Epstein, claims that the archive contains names, addresses, dates of birth, dates of last account login, as well as customer identification numbers. We are talking exclusively about users from Belgium.
"We are taking this information seriously, but we currently have absolutely no signs of hacking or attack. All systems are operating normally," the representative said. Bol.com in conversation with Tweakers.
The company has opened an investigation to verify information about a possible leak. Cybersecurity experts point out that such cases often turn out to be attempts to sell outdated or compiled data. Final conclusions about the authenticity of the database can be made only after independent verification.
On March 31, the Cyber Sickle group of pro-Russian hackers said that a phishing message on behalf of the CERT-UA rapid response group for computer incidents in Ukraine helped hack more than 200,000 Ukrainian computers. At the same time, the hackers noted that ordinary residents of Ukraine would not suffer in any way as a result of hacking.
