Russian forward of Tampa Kucherov entered the top 20 scorers of the Stanley Cup
Nikita Kucherov, the Russian forward of the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey Club, entered the top 20 scorers of the Stanley Cup. This became known on April 20 after the end of the match with HC Montreal Canadiens.
Despite the fact that the game ended with a score of 3:4 in favor of Montreal, Kucherov scored two assists.
"The 32-year-old Russian scored 173 (53+120) points in 153 NHL playoff games and rose to 19th place in the list of top Stanley Cup scorers," Sport-Express reported.
Despite his successes during the season, Kucherov did not become the top scorer of the regular season of the National Hockey League (NHL), as it became known on April 16. The 32-year-old striker took part in 76 out of 82 matches, scoring 44 goals and making 86 assists. Thus, he finished the regular season with 130 points and lost the lead to Connor McDavid from Edmonton (134 points, 48+86).
