In Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, a bear that had repeatedly tried to enter the territory was eliminated near the Vostok training center. This was announced on April 20 by the Agency for Forestry and Hunting of the Sakhalin Region.

"In the area of the Vostok base, specialists seized a bear that had repeatedly attempted to enter the facility. These actions of the animal posed a real threat to the life and health of citizens," the agency said in an interview with TASS.

At the moment, people are not in danger. The reason for the bear's behavior remains unknown. However, the agency warned that feeding bears and creating food waste dumps in the wrong place can provoke predators.
