The refusal of stable energy supplies from the East is forcing European enterprises to move outside the European Union (EU). The return of Russian energy to the market would help maintain production within Europe. This was announced on April 20 by the Deputy Speaker of the Slovak Parliament, Tibor Gaspar.

"Russian resources have long been cheaper than alternatives. Their return would reduce the pressure on industry, inflation and households <...> A return would help save jobs and production within Europe," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
