Russians were reminded of a short working week at the end of April
Russians expect a shortened working week at the end of April due to the celebration of Spring and Labor Day on May 1. Peter Petkilev, associate professor of the RUDN Law Institute, reminded the Russians about this on April 20.
"The Spring and Labor Day is celebrated on May 1. <...> In the current (2026 — Ed.) year, the holiday falls on a Friday, therefore, Friday will be a day off. Thus, four working and three non—working days in a row are expected," Petkilev said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
