The Federal Tax Service (FTS) will begin checking income exceeding 2.4 million rubles per year for Russian citizens. Dmitry Grigoryadi, a lawyer and expert at the Stolypin Institute of Growth Economics, told the Prime news agency on April 20.

"The starting point will be to exceed the threshold of 2.4 million rubles of undeclared income per year. The figure is not accidental — it is the income ceiling for the self—employed and at the same time the threshold up to which the "lower" personal income tax rate of 13% is valid," the lawyer explained.

This is how income will be checked if a Russian has a hidden business. The Central Bank of Russia (CBR) will transfer data on suspicious transactions to the Federal Tax Service. The exception will be transfers from relatives.
