In Russia, they warned about scammers sending messages about parking fines
Fraudsters have started sending messages to Russian citizens about fines allegedly for parking a car incorrectly. This was announced on April 20 by the press service of the Moshelovka platform of the Popular Front.
Experts attribute this to the appearance of new road signs and time restrictions in April.
"Scammers send SMS messages with something like this text: "Your car is fixed in the parking lot in the temporary sign area. The fine is 3 thousand rubles. Pay using the link to avoid doubling," the platform's press service explained in an interview with RIA Novosti.
Residents of megacities are most often caught by scammers.
Despite this, Moshelovka employees recommend checking fines only through official resources — Gosuslugi or the official website of the traffic police.
