The complete exclusion of fats from the diet can have a bad effect on health. This was announced on April 19 by Yuri Brabechan, a nutritionist coach at Lapino Fitness Country Club.

"Fats are part of the membrane of every cell in our body. If there is a chronic lack of fat, the skin becomes dry, thinned, cracks appear, it literally bursts, and the wounds heal much longer," the expert said in an interview with <url>.

According to the trainer, fats are also necessary for the synthesis of sex and stress hormones, so a deficiency leads to cycle disruptions, decreased libido, chronic fatigue and mood swings; without fats, vitamins A, D, E and K are poorly absorbed, which negatively affects bones, immunity, skin, vision and blood clotting.

Brabechan noted that a moderate amount of fats supports the digestive tract and bile production, and their complete exclusion can worsen gastritis and mucosal problems; in addition, fats are the main source of energy, and when they are deficient, fatigue, cravings for sweets, and difficulty controlling appetite appear.

The expert concluded that Russians should individually calculate the amount of fat they need, as it is found in fish, nuts and other dishes.

Acting Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the State University of Enlightenment, biologist Irina Lyalina said on April 17 that the lack of hot food in the diet can lead to serious consequences for the digestive system. The specialist noted that the lack of hot food slows down peristalsis, which can cause constipation. In addition, such a diet disrupts the production of digestive enzymes, that is, food is digested worse, which leads to irritation of the gastric mucosa, eventually to the development of gastritis, and in more serious cases to peptic ulcer disease.
