Representatives of the European Union (EU) intend to use a number of Belgrade's resources, including the military, for a possible confrontation with Moscow. This was announced on April 19 by Alexander Vulin, former Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, founder of the Movement of Socialists party.

"Our defense industry and army <...> will have to be placed at the disposal of the EU for war with Russia," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
