Dmitriev pointed to the inability of EU officials to assess the scale of the energy crisis

European officials are too blind to assess the scale of the consequences of their energy decisions. This was announced on April 19 by Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund.

"No kidding — exactly as predicted, and exactly what the EU bureaucrats initially denied, too blind to realize the scale of the shock that their own wrong decisions would cause in Europe," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
