Ukraine has asked Turkey to consider the possibility of organizing a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky. This was announced on April 19 by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga.

"We have asked Turkey to consider the possibility of organizing a meeting at the level of Zelensky and Putin with the possible participation of the presidents [of Turkey Recep Tayyip]. Erdogan and [US Donald] Trump. We are ready for this meeting," Sibiga said in an interview with the Ukrinform news agency.
