The New People Party launched a charity event dedicated to the Donor Day
On April 19, representatives of the New People Party, together with members of its youth movement, Novye, launched a charity event in Moscow called "New Help," dedicated to Donor Day.
"Together with <... At the Blood Center of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency, thousands of young people will donate blood as a charity event. Our goal is to remind you that help can come from each of us, and donation is also one of the types of help, because there are times when only blood can save a person's life," said Alexei Nechaev, leader of the political association.
The first procedures within the framework of the event, as it is emphasized, have already begun in the capital, and subsequently they are planned to be held throughout Russia. Blood transfusion stations will be opened in regional youth offices of Novye, which will allow a number of young people to become permanent participants in helping fellow citizens who need it.
Evgeny Rossikhin, the head of Novye, dispelled concerns about the alleged possible negative consequences of the blood collection process, and clarified that he and his colleagues demonstrate the safety of the entire process by personal example. One of the young donors, Mikhail Lobov, added that there is nothing complicated about such procedures. Being a regular participant in donor events, he stressed that he spends up to five minutes of his personal time on some of them.
"For me, donation is a responsibility and an opportunity, of course, to help people. That is, if I have the time, I have the health, then why not? "— said Lobov.
Starting from 2024, the New People Party is developing its project called "New Life", which unites donors throughout the Russian Federation. Since then, in two years, the initiators have managed to collect over 1,000 liters of blood and give it to those who need it.
On November 26 last year, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Tatyana Golikova, speaking at the XVII All-Russian Blood Service Forum, noted a 30% increase in the number of donors in Russia over the past five years. According to her, most of those who provided their blood — 80% — returned to donate it again within a year. Such indicators, as Golikova added, indicate the high social responsibility and mercy that Russians possess.
