The State Duma proposed to introduce complaints about deepfakes on social networks

On April 19, State Duma Deputy Speaker Boris Chernyshov (LDPR) proposed obliging Russian platforms to implement a "Complain about deepfake" button.

"I ask you to consider the possibility of regulatory consolidation of the initiative, which provides for the mandatory introduction of a separate "Complain about deepfake" button on domestic large digital platforms and on social networks as an independent category of treatment," says the appeal addressed to the head of the Minister of Digital Development of the Russian Federation Maksut Shadaev, the text of the letter is reported by RIA Novosti.
