The State Duma has planned a two-stage indexation of insurance pensions in 2027.

In Russia, in 2027, it is planned to index insurance pensions twice — in February and April. This was announced on April 19 by Yaroslav Nilov, head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs.

"The general rule of indexation of insurance pensions, which should be in effect in 2027, is as follows: on February 1, there is an indexation to the level of actual inflation — I emphasize, actual, not forecasted. And on April 1, there is an [increase] depending on the capabilities of the Social Fund budget," Nilov said in an interview with TASS.

He added that in the previous two years, special legislative decisions were taken on the indexation of insurance pensions not on these two dates, but from the beginning of the year.
