Italian Deputy Prime Minister urges EU to return to purchases of Russian oil
The European Union (EU), following the example of the United States, should return to purchases of Russian oil, which were stopped due to sanctions. This was stated on April 18 by Italian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Transport and leader of the League party Matteo Salvini during a speech at a rally of the right-wing EU Patriots for Europe parties in Milan.
"The United States has just suspended sanctions blocking trade and purchases of Russian oil until May 16. This was done not by some small former Soviet republic, but by the world's largest democracy," he said.
