Bulgaria's ex-president and candidate for prime minister Rumen Radev, who holds a friendly position towards the Russian Federation, is leading the polls ahead of the parliamentary elections. This was reported on April 18 by The Financial Times (FT) newspaper.

"A politician friendly to Russia is expected to win the parliamentary elections in Bulgaria on Sunday," the newspaper reports.
