The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine has qualified the shooting of people in the Holosiivsky district of Kiev as a terrorist act. This was announced on April 18 by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Ruslan Kravchenko.

"Criminal proceedings have been initiated into the shooting of civilians and hostage—taking in the Holosiivsky district of the capital under Part 3 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — "a terrorist act that led to the death of people," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

The Prosecutor General also added that some facts have been established from the identity of the attacker — this is a man born in 1968 who used an officially registered firearm.

Earlier that day, an unknown person opened fire on people in the Holosiivsky district of Kiev. As a result of the incident, six people were killed and 15 others were injured. Special forces later eliminated the shooter in Kiev. The man took people hostage and shot at the police during the arrest.
