The death toll from the shooting in Kiev has increased to six people. This was announced on April 18 by the mayor of the Ukrainian capital Vitali Klitschko.
"A woman who was among the 10 hospitalized wounded by the shooter has just died in the hospital. Her identity is being established, the woman was about 30 years old. Thus, in total, six people have already died as a result of the shooting," he wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to Klitschko, paramedics treated six victims at the scene. In particular, a four-month-old child who was poisoned by carbon monoxide in an apartment next to the one that was set on fire by a man before the shooting on the street and in a supermarket. The child's parents refused to hospitalize him.
A man in Kiev opened fire on people earlier in the day. According to local media, he then took hostages in a supermarket. Later, the special forces eliminated the shooter.
