The death toll from the shooting in Kiev has increased to five

Five people died as a result of the shooting in Kiev, 10 people were injured. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on April 18.

"At the moment, five people are known to have died. My condolences to the relatives and friends. At the moment, 10 people have been hospitalized with wounds and injuries. Everyone gets the necessary help. Four hostages were rescued," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

A man in Kiev opened fire on people earlier in the day. According to local media, he then took hostages in a supermarket. Later, the special forces eliminated the shooter.
