Grushko warned about Russia's response to the reduction of diplomatic missions in the EU

Russia will respond to the reduction of its diplomatic presence in the European Union (EU). This was announced on April 18 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko.

"Of course, such actions do not go unnoticed on our part," he told RIA Novosti.

According to the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, the state considers this decision of European countries as a discriminatory measure, which is a direct violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.

Diplomatic mission is impossible: 22 embassies and consulates of the Russian Federation have been closed since 2022

However, Russia was able to reorient its presence from unfriendly countries to the East and Africa.

Yesterday, Russian Ambassador to Germany Sergey Nechaev said that Russia is open to dialogue with European countries on an equal footing. At the same time, he noted that Europe is not able to objectively assess Russian interests.
