- The Russian Foreign Ministry said there were no plans to close the borders to Europeans.
Russia did not plan to close its borders to Europeans, despite stricter rules for issuing Schengen visas to Russians. This was announced on April 18 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko.
"For our part, we do not plan to close borders for European citizens or restrict their entry to Russia," Grushko told RIA Novosti.
It is noted that Russia is interested in establishing communication, tourism, business and humanitarian ties with citizens of European countries.
