Military personnel of the separate motorized rifle battalion of the 90th Guards Tank Division of the Center group of forces spoke about the combat work and the operational situation in the Dnepropetrovsk area of the special military operation zone. This was announced on April 18 by the Russian Defense Ministry.

"The enemy has been digging in for a very long time. He was preparing for the fact that we were coming. <... Providing the enemy in this direction is very difficult for our troops. The guys are all loaded, motivated, and they all understand why they are here," Ibadov Elnur Chingiz oglu, commander of the separate motorized rifle battalion Cedar, described the situation.

In the course of combat operations, Russian attack aircraft discovered fortified strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in this area. Additionally, the fortifications are also protected by concrete and metal floors. To overcome obstacles, infantrymen and operators of unmanned systems (UAVs) jointly use various means of fire destruction and smoke suppression of enemy fortifications.

"The rapid and decisive offensive actions of our attack aircraft force the enemy to surrender or leave their positions, avoiding close combat," the Defense Ministry said.

On April 10, operators and engineers of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from the North group of forces shared that their drones are used both for reconnaissance and for strikes. So, during a recent operation, soldiers discovered an enemy self-propelled artillery installation (ACS) "Gvozdika" and sent a fiber-optic drone at it.
