The Russian Foreign Ministry named a key NATO region for building up combat potential
NATO is currently considering the Baltic-Scandinavian region to build up its combat potential. This was announced on April 18 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko.
"At the moment, the North Atlantic Alliance is actively exploring ways to increase its combat potential and expand its presence in key geographical areas and in all operational environments. The Baltic-Scandinavian region is being developed especially zealously in this regard," he told RIA Novosti.
