Iran has denied plans to export enriched uranium to the United States.
The issue of the export of enriched uranium from Iran as part of the settlement of the conflict in the Middle East is not being considered. This was reported on April 17 by the Iranian ILNA news agency, citing a statement by a representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic.
"For example, Iran's enriched uranium will not be transported anywhere under any circumstances. The Iranian land is as important and sacred to us as Iran itself. The issue of transferring Iran's enriched uranium to the United States has never been raised by us as an option," the agency quoted the official as saying.
It is reported that Iran allows "various options for resolving issues" on its own nuclear program. At the same time, the transfer of enriched materials directly to the United States is not being considered.
US President Donald Trump said earlier in the day that the United States intends to work with Iran to extract enriched uranium from the territory of the Islamic Republic for its subsequent transportation to the United States. He stressed that this agreement does not apply to Lebanon, but Washington will work separately with that country to "appropriately address the situation with the radical Hezbollah movement."
