In the Murmansk Region, in 2026, it is planned to use 10 billion rubles allocated for the implementation of the renovation program of the Central park. The plan includes 66 events, said the Minister of Construction of the region, Alexandra Karpova, at a meeting of the regional government on April 17, dedicated to this topic.

"We will continue to overhaul apartment buildings, entrances, apartments, roads and courtyards, and demolish emergency buildings. We will start implementing new, larger—scale projects — the construction of a school in Alakurtti and three kindergartens in Korzunovo, Gadzhievo and Kilpyavra, as well as a number of housing and communal services facilities," the minister said.

The renovation program was launched in the Murmansk region in 2019. Over six years, more than 200 events totaling 40.5 billion rubles have been implemented in the territories, Bi-Port news agency writes. Since 2024, the program has received annual federal funding in the amount of 10 billion rubles.

According to Deputy Governor Olga Vovk, in March last year it was decided to extend the program. From day to day, the authorities are awaiting the release of the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation approving the comprehensive plan for 2027-2030. Of the total federal funding of 40 billion rubles for all garrisons and towns in the country, more than 35 billion are provided for the Murmansk Region. Taking into account all sources, the total amount of funding for the program for 2027-2030 in the region will exceed 50 billion rubles.
