In Russia, it is necessary to form a full-fledged regulatory framework for the production of non-alcoholic wine. This was stated in a conversation with Izvestia by Elena Suslova-Novozhilova, Deputy Chairman of the Public Council of Rosalokoltabakcontrol, General Director of the Committee of Manufacturers of Alcoholic Beverages.

To this end, it is proposed to develop a separate GOST of the Russian Federation for non-alcoholic wines, which will establish uniform requirements for products and their quality.

"The recognition of the water-alcohol solution formed during de-alcoholization as a by-product of production is also being discussed. It is supposed to fix the maximum volumes of its production and acceptable methods of use," the expert said.

In addition, the developers of the regulations have taken the initiative to create a new type of license for winemakers. It should allow producers to produce a water-alcohol solution as part of the de-alcoholization of wine, subject to the availability of a basic license for the production, storage, supply and retail sale of wine products.
