- In Rostov-on-Don, the People's Front handed over evacuation equipment to military doctors
In Rostov-on-Don, the People's Front handed over equipment for evacuating victims to military medics involved in the special military operation area. This was announced on April 17 by the press service of the organization.
The initiative was carried out with the support of the Russian government and the first Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov. Thus, 35 vehicles with anti-splinter blankets, as well as additional equipment protection kits, were handed over to doctors.
"Our main priority is that the guys (military personnel. In case of injury, they were promptly taken to the hospital and regained their health," said Mikhail Kuznetsov, head of the executive committee of the Popular Front.
According to him, the legendary "loaves" were sent to the conflict zone, the body of which was sheathed in advance with special blankets made of high-molecular-weight polyethylene. According to Kuznetsov, tests have shown that such a coating in 95% of cases absorbs fragments in the event of a potential munition explosion. This indicator demonstrated that people in such a car will have a chance to transfer to another car and continue their journey to the hospital.
A doctor of a medical company with the call sign Associate Professor told how once, thanks to a car handed over by the People's Front, people were rescued after the arrival of a mortar shell by Ukrainian militants. According to him, during the evacuation of the wounded, the 120th mortars of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) hit his group's car, which damaged one of the wheels of the loaf. The car continued to move on three wheels for almost 5 minutes, and only after that it stopped. By that time, the people had been taken out from under the shelling and remained alive.
"I want to say a huge thank you to the People's Front. This is not the first time we have collaborated, and I would like to note the prompt assistance — the most responsive response is to all our requests. And the equipment that was received last time, the property that was received last time, all this is still in service and continues to work," he summed up.
On April 8, Russian President Vladimir Putin called for continuing to provide the Russian army and its military personnel with everything they need. Speaking about this during his meeting with the Governor of the Ivanovo region, Stanislav Voskresensky, he recalled the decree on purchases of clothing in the interests of the Russian Armed Forces.
