On April 17, the International Educational Marathon "Safe Digit" was held in Bishkek on the basis of the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov. The marathon was organized by the Alliance for the Protection of Children in the Digital Environment and the Center for Global IT Cooperation with the support of government and educational partners.

A key part of the program was the educational track, which included workshops and interactive classes for schoolchildren, parents and teachers.

Kaspersky Lab experts took an active part in the educational program. Andrey Sidenko, Head of the Online Safety Department for Children, conducted a Digital Footprint master class for schoolchildren, and Asset Kasymovich Ordabaev, Senior Manager for Government Relations in Central Asia and Mongolia, conducted a lesson on the Basics of Cyber Hygiene for parents and teachers.

Andrey Sidenko noted: "Today it is important not just to tell children about the risks of the Internet, but to form practical skills of safe behavior in them. The earlier such work begins, the more stable the digital culture of the new generation becomes."

Representatives of the media industry made a significant contribution to the program. Alfiya Gafurova, curator of Corporate social responsibility at Gazprom Media Holding, conducted a master class on career guidance in the media sphere and corporate volunteerism, and also organized a family hackathon where participants developed social projects.

Alfiya Gafurova emphasized: "The media today play a key role in shaping the values of children and adolescents. Our goal is not only to create content, but also to help young people consciously choose their path in the digital industry."

Maria Zalunina, Head of CSR at the National Media Group, gave a lecture on how to talk about inclusion through content, focusing on accessibility and social responsibility of media.

"Inclusive content is not just a trend, but a necessity. We need to create a media environment where every child feels represented and protected," she said.

Elizaveta Belyakova, Chairman of the Alliance for the Protection of Children in the Digital Environment, also stressed the importance of international cooperation.: "Today it is especially important to build common principles of cybersecurity in different countries, as cyber threats know no borders. Only by joining forces can we effectively protect children in the digital environment."

The educational marathon ended with the screening of the immersive play "Cyber Court", staged by students of the Nasredin Isanov Vocational College under the franchise of the Alliance.

The performance interactively demonstrated the real risks of the digital environment and the possible consequences of unsafe online behavior.

The Safe Digit marathon brought together more than 300 schoolchildren, parents and teachers, becoming an important platform for improving digital literacy and creating a culture of safe online behavior.
