The driver who shot down three girls in Revda was given 17 years in a penal colony
The court sentenced 17 years in prison to the driver who hit three girls in Revda, Sverdlovsk region, two of whom died. This was announced on April 17 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.
After the tragedy, the Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia opened a criminal case under Part 6 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules under the influence of alcohol, resulting in the death of two people").
The deaths of two girls in an accident in Revda were reported in October last year. The third victim was hospitalized in serious condition. As noted in the regional State Traffic Inspectorate, the driver of the Lada car lost control and hit three girls who were on the sidewalk at that moment and were waiting for the green light.
