- The Burevestnik regiment attacked the Ukrainian Armed Forces with drones with Yuri Gagarin
Soldiers of a separate regiment of the Burevestnik unmanned systems of the Volunteer Corps in honor of Cosmonautics Day, a few days after the anniversary date, hit the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with drones with stickers with cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin and "correct" words. On April 17, Izvestia correspondent Egor Kildibekov reported on the operation.
"This is the legendary Lancet, a high—precision barrage munition. In a few minutes, he will embark on his first and last flight. The sticker with the image of Yuri Alekseevich Gagarin is a reminder to our opponent about who the real hero is," Kildibekov said.
The commander of a separate regiment of the Burevestnik unmanned systems with the call sign of the Politician called this action "greetings to the fascist heirs." It is noted that currently his unit, along with other servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, are steadily advancing in the area of the special military operation (SVO) — towards Kramatorsk, settlements beyond the already liberated village of Dibrova in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
"Our units are systematically moving on. The main task is to go beyond the canal, a waterway that should then supply our region with water, that's the main task. And further movement towards Slavyansk and Kramatorsk," the Politician summed up.
On April 10, operators and engineers of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) from the North group of forces shared that their drones are used both for reconnaissance and for strikes. So, during a recent operation, soldiers discovered an enemy self-propelled artillery installation (ACS) "Gvozdika" and sent a fiber-optic drone at it.
