The Ukrainian Navy announced its readiness to participate in the operation in the Strait of Hormuz.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are ready to take part in an international operation to unblock the Strait of Hormuz. This was announced on April 17 by the speaker of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Dmitry Pletenchuk.

"For our part, we officially declare that we are ready to join the operation in the Strait of Hormuz," the Ukrainian edition of Novosti Live quoted him as saying on its Telegram channel.

According to Pletenchuk, at least two ships from the Ukrainian Navy's mine action Force division have been prepared to perform such tasks. The speaker noted that these vessels have already been tested for compatibility with NATO standards and are technically ready to perform their tasks.
