Washing a car in a suburban area can lead to administrative liability due to violations of environmental and sanitary standards. Ilya Vasilchuk, a judicial lawyer, an expert on the security of electronic transactions and real estate transactions, and a public figure, told Izvestia on April 17.

"Water after car washing is considered waste due to the content of petroleum products and chemicals. Fines are provided for non-compliance with waste management requirements under articles of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation. For citizens, they range from 2 thousand to 3 thousand rubles. Additionally, regional regulations may increase liability. So, in the Moscow region, for washing a car in unidentified places, the fine reaches 5 thousand rubles," the expert noted.

The lawyer explained that in case of soil contamination, actions can qualify as land damage, for which a fine of up to 5,000 rubles is provided. If wastewater enters reservoirs, the violator faces responsibility for non-compliance with the rules of protection of water bodies.

Certain restrictions apply in water protection zones. In such cases, the fine can reach 4.5 thousand rubles.

Vasilchuk stressed that even private property does not exempt from compliance with environmental requirements. Land owners are required to use the land for its intended purpose and to prevent environmental pollution.

To reduce the risks, the expert recommends washing the car on a hard surface, organizing wastewater collection and using safe detergents. You can also opt out of a full-fledged sink in favor of dry or gentle cleaning methods.

According to the lawyer, before carrying out such work, it is important to take into account not only federal regulations, but also regional rules or requirements of horticultural associations.

Evgeny Fedorov, the training manager of the Petrovich contact center, said on April 12 that it was important to start preparing the cottage for the new season immediately after the snowfall, since delayed repairs could lead to additional costs. You need to start with an inspection of the roof: make sure that the coating is intact, replace damaged sheets of slate, corrugated board or tiles, if necessary, and eliminate leaks. Gutters and pipes should be cleaned of debris to ensure proper drainage of water.
