Lavrov said there were no specific initiatives on the Ukrainian issue.
There are currently no specific initiatives on the Ukrainian issue. This was announced on April 17 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov following a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
"We have informed our colleagues about the latest developments around efforts to resolve the Ukrainian crisis. There are no specific initiatives here right now. And, as the Russian president said, in the meantime, our Armed Forces are solving the tasks set by the Supreme Commander—in-Chief within the framework of their military operations," the Russian Foreign Minister said.
He noted that many countries in all parts of Eurasia are currently reassessing and rethinking previously discussed agreements on which their economic interests, development prospects and security issues were based.
