Updated Omoda C5 received all-wheel drive in Russia
The updated Omoda C5 crossover in Russia has a four-wheel drive version, the modification is included in the price list on the brand's official website. After the March facelift, the crossover was offered only with front-wheel drive.
All-wheel drive is provided to the crossover in the new most expensive "Style" configuration for 2.85 million rubles. In a similar version, but with front-wheel drive, the model costs 150 thousand rubles cheaper. In the new modification, the 1.5-liter 147-horsepower turbo engine is combined not with a six-speed robotic transmission, as in the single-wheel drive version, but with a seven-speed.
The Omoda C5 all-wheel drive also differs from the two-wheel drive variant in increased curb weight (1,615 kg versus 1,490 kg) and fuel tank capacity (57 liters versus 51 liters), as well as reduced ground clearance (180 mm versus 190 mm). This crossover accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 11.5 seconds, which is 1.6 seconds longer than the front-wheel drive version. In addition, its fuel consumption in the mixed cycle is 8.3 liters per 100 km (+0.9 liters relative to the front-wheel drive version).
Compared to the pre-reform model, the Omoda C5 has increased in size, and the design of the front of the SUV has been completely redesigned. The model received an 8.9-inch digital dashboard screen and a 15.6-inch central media system display (top-end) with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The list of options for the most expensive version includes dual-zone climate control, eight speakers, heated all seats, wireless charging, ventilation of the front seats, an all-round viewing system and a set of assistants, including adaptive cruise control, as well as other options.
Earlier, on April 13, it was reported that the Omoda C7 crossover could receive a more powerful version with a 186-horsepower engine in Russia, and production of the model is planned to start at the former Volkswagen plant in the Kaluga region this year.
