The last ice crossing stopped working in the Khabarovsk Territory
The last ice crossing was closed in the Khabarovsk Territory. The region is expected to see increased ice activity in the coming days.
The ferry operated in the Verkhnebureinsky district, writes IA AmurMedia with reference to the press service of the regional government.
The flood situation is under special control of the authorities. Specialists from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and municipalities are constantly monitoring the situation. Ice movements were recorded on the Lower Amur near Komsomolsk-on-Amur. This year they started a week earlier than usual. The ice drift runs from Yelabuga to Malmyzh. The water level in the Khabarovsk river remains within the normal range, however, the activation of the ice flow is expected in the near future.
On the Ussuri River, the ice drift passed without consequences. The opening of rivers in the southern part of the region is proceeding normally. The ice remains in the north of the region, in Komsomolsk, Ulchsky and Nikolaevsky districts. There are only movements and hummocks. The river should open near Komsomolsk-on-Amur on April 22-25 and in early May near Nikolaevsk-on-Amur.
Since the beginning of the year, experts have conducted more than 830 raids on reservoirs, instructed about 3 thousand people.
Earlier, Natalia Yumina, head of the Department of river hydrological forecasts at the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, said that flooding in some regions of Russia would end only in early or mid-June. Severe floods due to a dangerous rise in water levels in reservoirs were recorded on April 13 in the Altai and Krasnoyarsk Territories, Novosibirsk, Omsk and Tomsk regions, the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia reported. The unfavorable value in the next three days will also remain in the Bryansk, Vladimir, Kursk, Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod regions, Mari El, Udmurtia and Dagestan.
