UFC fighter Tsarukyan was taken off a flight to the USA because of his phone
Russian UFC fighter of Armenian origin Arman Tsarukyan was removed from an American Airlines flight en route from Los Angeles to Philadelphia. This was announced on April 17 by journalist Adam Zubayraev.
The incident occurred on the eve of the Real American Freestyle (RAF) tournament, where the athlete was heading. Tsarukyan was supposed to take part in the RAF 8 tournament, which will be held on the night of April 19. His opponent is American Uriah Faber.
According to Zubayraev, the cause of the incident was a violation of the rules on board the aircraft. The journalist posted a video from the cabin of the aircraft.
"Someone was using a phone during takeoff, and the second person opened a table. Because of this, Arman and two of his friends were kicked off the flight heading to the RAF tournament," Zubayraev wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
Arman Tsarukyan, who is 29 years old, is one of the leading fighters of the UFC. He has 23 wins and only three losses in mixed martial arts. He ranks 13th in the UFC rankings regardless of weight categories (P4P).
On March 1, Tsarukyan became involved in a mass brawl after a duel with American athlete Giorgio Pullas in the United States. As a result, more than 10 people participated in the fight on and off the court.
