During the implementation of the My School program, the Moscow authorities are creating modern and comfortable areas for active and quiet recreation. As noted by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, such spaces "are not only safe, but also multifunctional — children should spend time outdoors with interest and benefit."

According to the mayor, by the new school year, each school building will have its own infrastructure, depending on the age of the students. "For elementary and basic classes, we will equip about 200 playgrounds with chalk drawing boards, suspension bridges, rocking chairs, benches in the form of a wave, play complexes with slides and other educational complexes," Sobyanin wrote on his channel in the IACH. Zones for educational sports games will be organized for pupils of grades 1-4.

In total, over 500 playgrounds with safe surfaces and new equipment will be equipped on the school grounds. These are, in particular, football fields, running tracks, playgrounds for basketball, volleyball, football, table tennis, gymnastics and TRP testing areas.

It is also planned to upgrade the lighting and install video surveillance systems. In addition, it is planned to replace the pavement of the roadway and sidewalks, to break bridges and plant trees.

Earlier in April, Sobyanin announced that the capital had approved priority plans for the development of Moscow education in 2026. Among them is the further improvement of the pre—professional environment in high school.

Special attention will be paid to mathematical and natural science education, career guidance, improving conditions for professional development and motivation of teachers, as well as the development of a digital educational environment. According to Sobyanin, the renovation of several dozen buildings will be completed this year under the My School program.
