On April 17, a restriction regime was introduced in the Orenburg region for visits to four settlements: Gubernia, Beloshapka, Khabar and Staraya Gubernia. The administration of Novotroitsk urged local residents not to try to detain the suspect on their own.

A car was found near the village of Beloshapka, in which the suspect fled. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the region clarified that the man may be hiding in a mountainous area. Police officers and soldiers of the Russian Guard are working in the specified area.

Basalaev has unpaid loans in microfinance organizations. Bailiffs were supposed to collect debts from him. According to preliminary data, the amount of debt is at least 170 thousand rubles.

In the village of Akkermanovka, Orenburg region, officers of the police department No. 3 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Orskoye conducted an operation to detain a particularly dangerous criminal who was on the federal wanted list.
