Russians will use cash and barter more often if the Federal Tax Service (FTS) gets access to data on their transfers. This opinion was expressed by economist Andrey Barkhota in a conversation with Izvestia.

Changes in legislation will affect those who regularly earn money from rent, part-time jobs, services or small-scale trade, but do not register the status of self-employed or sole proprietor and do not declare income. We can talk about 7-10 million people.

According to Barkhota, after the introduction of new measures, the demand for cash may grow by 2-3 trillion rubles during the year. Citizens will begin to actively use cash payments, barter transactions and redistribute income between relatives in order not to exceed the established limits.
