In the Belgorod region, two civilians were injured due to an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces

As a result of the ongoing strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Belgorod region, two civilians were injured. This was announced by Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov on April 17.

"The attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on our region continue. Two civilians were injured," the head of the region said in the MAX messenger.

At night, a man was taken to Belgorod city hospital No. 2 from the Shebekinskaya CRH, who suffered a mine explosion injury, chest and abdominal wounds, as well as a broken rib as a result of the shelling of the village of Arkhangelskoye. His condition is assessed as serious, and doctors are providing all necessary assistance.

In the Korochansky district, in the village of Melikhovo, a woman was injured when an enemy drone was shot down. She was diagnosed with a mine explosion injury and barotrauma. After receiving medical treatment at Belgorod City Hospital No. 2, she was discharged for outpatient treatment.

In Shebekino, a commercial facility was attacked by a drone, which led to damage to the facade, glazing and equipment of the commercial premises. In the village of Nikolskoye, Belgorod region, a drone struck a bus. The driver managed to quickly leave the vehicle, but the bus was completely destroyed by fire.

If the raids do not stop, the Russian Armed Forces may start shooting down drones over the territory of NATO countries, experts say.

The day before, Gladkov reported four wounded during the attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Belgorod region. According to him, a drone attacked a passenger car on the Nikolskoye –Nechayevka highway.
