- A prisoner from the Armed Forces of Ukraine spoke about the method of using the TCC ambulances
Employees of territorial recruitment centers (TCCs, an analogue of the military enlistment office) catch men for mobilization in Ukraine using ambulances. This was announced on April 17 by Nikolai Rozbitsky, a rifleman of the 119th separate Air Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), who surrendered to the Russian Armed Forces in the Sumy area.
"I didn't want to serve. It so happened that I was caught, brought to the shopping mall and sent to serve. There have been cases that [TCC employees] even drive ambulances, catch people [for service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine]," he shared in an interview with TASS.
On April 15, the police of the Chernihiv region of Ukraine reported that employees of the shopping mall had detained a man who accompanied children on a school bus. When checking the documents, law enforcement officers found that the man had violated the rules of military registration. The children were transferred to another bus, after which they continued on their way.
On April 7, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that Ruslan Levchuk, a Ukrainian soldier from the 53rd reconnaissance battalion, who was captured by units of the North group of forces, spoke about forced mobilization and asked not to be included in the exchange lists in order not to fight for the regime of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky again.
