Ex-top manager of Rusnano arrested in case of fraud for 1 billion rubles

Sergei Vakhterov, Senior Managing Director for Investment Activities at Rusnano, who is accused of fraud on an especially large scale (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code), was remanded in custody by decision of the Meshchansky Court of Moscow. This became known on April 17 from materials on the official portal of the capital's courts of general jurisdiction.

It is noted that the arrest of the manager is connected with the case of fraud in the sale of the state corporation's share in the manufacturer of chemicals "Akrilan". Vakhterov was taken into custody on April 15. At the same time, at the end of January this year, Oleg Kuzin, CEO of Akrilan, and Tatiana Shadeeva, head of the legal department of the same company, were also arrested.

The damage in this criminal case exceeds 1 billion rubles.
