The State Duma proposed to recalculate fees for substandard housing and communal services

On April 17, State Duma deputy Dmitry Gusev proposed automatically recalculating payments for housing and communal services of inadequate quality. The relevant draft law has been submitted to the Government of the Russian Federation for consideration.

"It is proposed to supplement Article 157 of the Housing Code of the Russian Federation with Part 5.1, which provides that changes in the amount of utility bills for interruptions exceeding the prescribed duration and (or) violations of their quality are made by the persons specified in part 5 of this article in an undeclared manner for the relevant billing period," these notes led to the draft RIA Novosti News Agency.

It is noted that information about such a change should be reflected in the payment document for the corresponding billing period for the violation.
