A NATO reconnaissance aircraft conducted surveillance near the Ukrainian border for about two hours. This became known on March 16 after analyzing flight data.

The Boeing E-3A Sentry took off from the airport of the Turkish city of Konya. The plane followed the Black Sea coast of Turkey and over the territory of Bulgaria. Once in Romanian airspace, he began to maneuver in a circle in the immediate vicinity of the border with Ukraine. The reconnaissance mission in the area lasted about two hours, RIA Novosti notes.

Then, at about 16:00 Moscow time, the aircraft left the duty area and returned to Bulgarian airspace.
